Hey guys, I got some radio play this last monday on a weekly one-hour radio show out of Detroit that features independent artists! They played my song Disappear. You can check it out at http://www.theradiocafe.com/detroit.htm Just scroll down a bit and click on show #5 to hear it streaming. Also, the way the show works is that once they play your stuff on there, they base future air time off of how many people vote for/request you. You do this right on the same web page. Its really easy, scroll towards the bottom of the page and there are a couple short fields for your name and age, and then below it there are check boxes to hit in order to vote for particular people. Its actually a pretty cool site, Check it out! and I'd appreciate your votes!!! :) Thanks guys!

Man, I never thought I would say it, but I may be a little turkeyed-out for a bit! Thanksgiving was a blast! I got to spend the weekend catching up with a lot of family that I haven’t been able to hang with in a while. Some very good times! I just drove back up to MI today and am currently sipping some prairie passion tea at 24/7 café. (They were all out of “night in mousoula” bummer…) They have some very legit tea here! They actually stuff the bags with the tea flakey things right when you order it so it’s really fresh. Some of them have some funny looking weed-like things and berries in the mix, but man is it good! Since the last letter I’ve gotten to spend two different weekends playing at some youth events. They were both a ton of fun! Back in October I was up in Rochester, MN doing some music at Autumn Ridge church. Got to play some of my music at a big youth event they had on a Friday, and then we did some worship Saturday night and Sunday. It was a blast getting to stay with the youth pastor from the church and his family. I got to have my first meeting with “tomato gravy” (biscuits and gravy) thanks to Reggie! If you ever get a chance to try it, just say yes. Most of the day Saturday my traveling buddy Joe and me (Joe Pederson, no I do not speak of myself in the third person… although it could be fun to try) got to hang out at Reggie’s with a bunch of people from his youth group. I must say you all are quite entertaining to be around! But yah, thanks to all of you Autumn Ridge people for having us out for a sweet weekend! Then this last month I was down in IL for a bit leading worship for a youth retreat at a place called Camp Manitoumie (I think???) some of the kids were calling it “camp gotta tumor”, but I don’t think that’s really how you say it… Anyways! Getting back on track… The event was a weekend youth retreat for a bunch of churches from different parts of IL. It was great getting to spend a couple days with everybody there! Oh man, and I even got to roast hot dogs on a fire for dinner!!! I forgot how much I kind of like that rustic smoky flavor. Mmm… (I got to have some white castle today so my mind is sort of stuck in food mode right now) Even got to see my family and stopped by the parents’ house on the way home. Good times! December is coming… and that means Christmas! I’m actually taking the month off for December as far as playing music is concerned. I’ve got final exams for my last semester of school to take care of!!! I’m so excited to be done with school! Not because school is a bad thing, stay in school kids! ☺, Its just going to be good to finally be done. There is gonna be some cool shows coming up after Christmas, I’ll be adding them to my online calendar over the next couple weeks. I’m going to be spending a few weeks towards the end of the month down in IL celebrating Christmas with my family. It’ll be a nice way to chill for a bit before the shift into the New Year hits! Do any of you guys want some free stuff? I was talking with a friend the other day about weird/embarrassing Christmas traditions and crazy holiday family moments. Needless to say, it was a pretty hilarious conversation… So, I was thinking it would be cool to ask you guys to send me an email with your most awesome and funny Christmas story or tradition and I’ll pick one of them to get a free t-shirt of choice and a copy of “Free to Fly”. Just get me your stories by the end of the month and I’ll announce the winner in January. Also, you might want to check out the store on my website if you got some people on your gift list to buy for, everybody loves getting some music! And from now until Christmas every order off of my website will include a free copy of my Debut EP with the songs “Run” and “Chosen Generation”. Just click the shop tab on the website to check out the store.

BRRR!!!! It is getting cold and rainy again here in Michigan! I’m sitting in Biggby coffee right now enjoying a whopper jr. and some fries. (I just ran through the rain to the burger king next door, gotta love that dollar menu!) I kind of almost like this rain though, its almost peaceful in a way… Anyways! Things have been going pretty good this last month or so. School is definitely in session and the homework is piling up, but I’m getting through. With this being my last semester before I graduate it has been a little hard to keep pushing forward all the time, there is a big part of me that just wants to be done already! I haven’t been traveling much this last month, so it’s been good to be able to catch back up with my people here in Grand Rapids. I have some exciting things coming up this next week! I’m heading on the road for the weekend to Rochester, MN. I’m gonna be spending the weekend there doing some various music stuff at Autumn Ridge Church. They are hosting a big youth event I’ll be performing at called the 5th quarter Friday night after the local football game. That next day I’ll be leading worship for another youth event they have on Saturday night, and then that Sunday I’ll be leading worship for two of their youth services in the morning. I’m getting really excited about this trip. A lot of people from Autumn Ridge Church happened to be at a week-long missions trip in New Orleans that I led worship for earlier this last summer so it will be cool to connect with some of them again. We might even have to break out some Nutella… ☺ (inside joke, you guys know who you are!) I’m going to be bringing my good friend Joe Pederson along to help me out for the weekend. This guy is pretty much awesome and you all should check him out. He’s got this sweet blog called “the story and the song” (http://thestoryandthesong.blogspot.com/) Joe is also working on starting a ministry called Honest Screams, its all about finding hope and healing through honesty with God, ourselves, and others. (http://www.myspace.com/honestscreams) Other exciting news, I have done a ton of additions to the website store this last month. I’ve been having people asking me about ordering my first CD I put out a few years ago with “Run” and “Chosen Generation” on it, t-shirts, and other stuff on the website because I only had the “Free to Fly” album on there. Well, I’ve got a bunch of new items in there now for you to check out! I’ve got these sweet pin buttons that you can put on your hats, purses, clothes, guitar straps, book bags, cats, whatever you might feel like poking a pin into! ☺ They all have different quotes from some of my song lyrics on them and come in a package of five assorted buttons. I’ve also got some brand new T-shirts! These things are sweet if I might say so myself, they are themed after the album cover and come in a variety of colors and sizes, even girls fashion fit and American Apparel ribbed tank-tops. I have a video of us making them uploaded on my you tube channel that I just started: http://www.youtube.com/user/JoeGuerraMusic If you like wasting time watching you tube videos, you should follow my you tube channel! I also put my first album up on there for any of you who want to pick up a copy. Thanks for keeping up on what I’m doing with my music! As always, feel free to keep in touch! I love hearing from you guys! -Joe Receive these monthly newsletters by email! Join the mailing list!!!
